Terms and Conditions
Version 2026-09-05 · Service: Expiring Date (https://expiringdate.com/) · Operator: [Operator name], [Operator postal address] · Contact: fxen@tuta.io
1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Expiring Date (the "Service"), operated by [Operator name] ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy and Data Processing Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
The Service lets you record dates that matter to you (for example card expiry dates, subscription renewals, domain names, documents, insurance policies, appointments and other deadlines), organise them in categories, and receive email reminders ahead of those dates. Reminders are sent only if you keep them enabled; you can switch them off per item or for your whole account at any time.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, and in any case at least 13 years old in the United States) to use the Service.
- You must provide a valid email address that you control. We use it to verify your account, send the reminders you configure, and send security notices.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication.
- One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
4. Reminders are an aid, not a guarantee
Email is not a guaranteed delivery channel. Messages can be delayed, filtered as spam, or rejected by your mail provider, and our systems or those of our email delivery partner may occasionally be unavailable. The Service is designed to help you remember, but it does not replace your own diligence. You remain solely responsible for meeting your deadlines and renewals. We are not liable for any loss arising from a reminder that was late, missing, or based on a date that you entered incorrectly.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for unlawful purposes; attempt to access other users' data or our systems without authorisation; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written consent; upload malicious code; use automated means to create accounts or send abusive volumes of requests; or store content that is illegal, or that infringes the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
6. Your content
You keep all rights to the information you store (titles, notes, dates, links). You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, display and process it in order to provide the Service to you. Please do not store full payment card numbers, passwords, or other secrets in notes; the notes field is for reference information such as the last four digits of a card.
7. Availability, changes and updates
We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may modify, add or remove features, and we install security updates as needed, which may cause brief interruptions. We may change these Terms; material changes will be announced in the Service or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the account page; this permanently erases your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that remain unverified, or where required by law. Sections 4, 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service, including missed or late reminders. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or EUR 50 (or the equivalent). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or, for consumers in the EU/EEA, liability under mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Country], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you reside. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. Courts of [Country] have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
